Hailng from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Beyond Fallen comes show up with a third output entitled "Mindfire", released through a Dutch label named Melissa Records! I still can remind myself complete very well the day their promo demo arrived at my postal address. Actually it was a self-released, 4 song EP that immeadiately let listen to which type of group we had to deal with. I was impressed right away those days (2003), Beyond Fallen delivered a fantastoc form of US Power Metal that let the sky brighten up.
Listening to US Metal still brings me always in a very good mood, to hell with all care and suffering from day daily live...focus on US Metal gives my lives-vision a total different look. Assaulting my US Metal soul even more, Beyond Fallen surprised us a second time in 2005 with a full length, independent output entitled "Lost In The Shadows". The band's first release was real good, the follow-up was a lot better in a lot of respects. This work let hear that Beyond Fallen had took a big step forward on a lot of points. Their commitment and perseverance led to something real impressive. The songs reflected a picture of a US Power Metal band which would break through, no matter the cost.
Like a lot of other bands from this genre, i was not satisfied concerning the fact, Beyond Fallen still wasn't approached by a record label to offer a deal...what they absolutely deserved! Months went beyond and Beyond fallen's Metal machine started to twist, fullforced forward and due to sharing many stages with Metal giants like Overkill, W.AS.P., Belladonna,...their name was gradually recognized more and more. Struggling through good and bad times, they never had the intention to give up the Metal fight and eventually that straight attitude led these Americans to where they belong, a place called the Metal top!
2007 becomes undoubtly one of the most unforgettable years in their existence. A new album "Mindfire" for the first time released through an official record label, named Melissa Records (Holland) is fact number one! Prepare yourself for 50plus minutes of right-in-your-face, pure as can be, excellent US Metal. To step even more in detail, Beyond Fallen's songs on this new album ranges from Classic Metal to Heavy and Thrash Metal. In their ranks a great singer who has a raw voice alternating with some vibrations here and there. Unique, original, a pleasure to listen at! Also two surprising, skill-loaded to the bone axemen delivereing both riffs and solo's...this is the best of the best guys! Co-operation of bass and drums goes without problems...hard-hitting drums and cutting bass lines, everything just succeed enormous good and well!
Songs which smacks me outta control are: 'Enemy Of An Open Mind', an incredible instrumental entitled 'Fields Of Honor' (one of my favorite instr. of the last few years!), 'Mindfire', the awesome 'Sniper' including a phenomenal break and tempo changes that let crash your heart on full strength. To finish the CD in style and total dignity, Beyond Fallen served up one last killer song names 'Bomb Inside Your Head'. Great album, played by awesome musicians...according to me, they goes a bright looking future.
This summer, Beyond Fallen plays at the great German feast on Metal called Headbangers Open Air Festival in July. Amongst numerous other bands, i'm sure they gonna have a great time outhere. Guys from Holland based Blue Steel Agence, Martjo Brongers / Volker Raabe) will be setting up some more European dates for the band and that's great.
