Worshippers of well skilled, quality Metal music, hold on for a while please! Machine Called Man is a SF, Californian band and has a lot of talented musicians in their ranks. MCM was formed in 2002 and it doesn't took much time before these guys started the real works. Songs were written and recorded in no time and a first full legth demo saw the light of day in September 2002. The songs on it took the world-wide media and True Metal fans by surprise...MCM's futures was looking real good! I haven't heard that demo but that's no problem actually. All the songs featuring the demo are available on MCM's debut album entitled "2.004" plus a couple of new songs indeed.

Now well, the band sent me a 4 song promtional version of that album which took me by the throat right away. The entire album contains ten songs but the tunes i'm listening at right now are awesome!! Their singer is Mr. Norman Skinner, one of the most impressive singers at the moment to me. He has a very unique throat and can reach the most fantastic vocal lines. Variable all over the line, no reason to complain at all and he's playing with another band too at the moment, called Imagika. Read their CD Review by clicking HERE if you like.

He will caughts your attention right away, if he doen't...something's probably wrong with you!! But also the rest of the band are top class musicians. Bashing drums, loaded bass lines and wonderfull guitars lines drives me straight into insanity. It's a pleasure hearing such great songs due to all the variations, it won't bothers you for a second. Very technical, melodic Power Metal with vibes of Progressive and even Thrash Metal. All played in a US way and that means a lot to me (No Metal like US Metal!!). Four songs only, but that's enough for me to know MCM is a extraordinary, superb US Power Metal band in top class shape.

 Bands to compare? First of all, they're quiet original and strong enough to create a style by themselves but i'll give a try to compare and wanna mention names such as Cynic, Nocturnus or Watchtower to name but a few. These guys convinced me so damn much that my hunt for the full CD will started real soon. They surprised and impressed me and the good news is Machine Called Man are currently in the works writing, recording songs for a new album which will be released in a few months i guess.
