MANIFEST DESTINY - YOUR WORLD HAS DIED
ROCK IT UP RECORDS
METAL TO INFINITY
"Your World Has Dies'' is American based Manifest Destiny's fifth effort that takes the world by storm with their furious way of Metal, more defined as a blend of old school Power Metal and the more modern way of Thrash Metal. The combination of both works very well, it perfectly fits! When you check out the list of bands Manifest Destiny schared the stage with, it's quite impressive...i want to mention but a few: Flotsam and Jetsam, Testament, Nevermore, Saxon, Testament, Fates Warning,...quite a list, isn't it!
Before Rock It Up Records sent me a promo package loaded with among other things, Manifest Destiny...i must admit honestly that i never heard of these guys before...shame on me, right?! Well, i'll make it up by writing down my thoughts about their latest release, "Your Worls Has Died" which is actually a six song EP released late 2007.
From the moment the first song 'Time Of Light' was pumped through my speakers, the blood in my veins raged on and an, my heart was filled with adrenaline...yeah, i was immediately hooked on the sound of Manifest Destiny. Rough and wild vocals, heavy guitar riffs with outstanding solo's proved that both axemen's understanding seems great. The perfect role of both guys proves theu are very well anticipated on each other and that's what a good band needs to me. A good understanding and anticipation between the musicians are very important to create a good sound. To me, a good band exist from three parts which are: at first the guitar players, secondly the participation of both drummer and bassist and last but also very inportant, the lead singer. If these three blocks are in perfect harmony, you can reach a lot i guess!
The present of these '3 blocks' are very clear with a band such as Manifest Destiny. This puzzle matches incredible good. I guess this is the result of hard labour, practising to reach the perfect sounds and that's what i hear on "Your World Has Died". The six songs have been clearly transvased with loads of heavy power and brutal force. These guys never over reacting, mostly the tempo's ranges from up to mid tempo without stamping the pedal entirely to the Metal and for a band like Manifest Destiny...this way sounds just awesome!
Old school meets the more 'modern' way of Power / Thrash Metal...once again, the combination of Manifest Destiny clicks right on. 'Your World Has Died', 'Take The Next Step', 'The One', 'Bury The Living' and 'Outcry 07' rocking your place down...it's very heavy, technical quite alright, great rhythms and a great vocalist that scrapes the flesh of your bones with its rough and furious way of singing. Throwing a few names to compare MD with are: early Sacred Reich, Premonition, Rival, Beyond Fallen,...that's my opinion you know but better find out these guys music by take a look at the following pages: http://md.gamersradio.com/main/ / http://www.myspace.com/mightymd / http://www.rockitup.org/ order quickly and krank it up, Manifest Destiny does the rest. Great stuff!! MY POINTS: 90 / 100
