METAL TO INFINITY

Ram-Zeth is started as a one man project fomed by multi-instrumentalist Henning Ramseth way back in 1998. Two album were recorded on Finnish label Spikefarm but unfortuately can't say a damn thing cause i never heard anything from this project ever before. A while ago, a package loaded withthe new Ram-zeth effort reach my postal mailbox which makes it a lot easi베spreading my personal meaning around.

First of all, the new album "Intra" is released by a Norwegian record label Tuba Records.Two albums as a one man project but that's totally different right now. Ram-zet's current line-up contains at least six musicians (four guys and two females to be correct). I suppose they're from Norway and we all know there is a strong scene for extreme forms of Metal. Ram-zet name of the game is a bit difficult to discribe due to several genres are handled here. It sounds aggressive, there is melody, emotion and atmosphere within so i can't deny this album is a creation of a buncha hard working musicians who knows what they want.

Gothic, Black or Gothenburg Metal...Ram-Zet delivers it all in a form of elegance and technique. Influenced bands are The Kovenant, Cradle Of Filth, Children Of Bodom, Soilwork, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquillity...Remarkable are the screaming and growling vox in combination with female vocals lines, fast guitars / drums / bass duties...yeah it's a well skilled, talented album but...I just wanna make CD reviews the way i feel and this time the musicians are very good and the final results are excellent but it's a typical album for all those maniacs who likes the above mentioned compareable or influenced groups.

Let me be free to tell you all this isn't my favourite form of Metal music. It's definitely not my intention to start criticize any other bands who doesn't belongs in my own favourite bandlist...hell no! Looking for an album the extreme way with a lot of variable elements and great production on board? Well more than probably Ram-Zet's new album "Intra" (with a running time of more than 50 minutes) will be definitely your chosen one and satisfy your ears for sure.
