STEVE GAINES - ANGER AS ART

INDEPENDENT

METAL TO INFINITY

Those were the days when Metal was Metal if  you know what i mean. Back then, Steve Gaines played in bands like Abattoir, Bloodlust, Tactics...i'd like to call hom a real master of Speed / Thrash Metal. From the middle of the eighties he kept on Thrashing like hell in previous mentioned bands and when the new millennium was a fact, he strikes back with some other groups like Pagan War Machine and Dreams Of Damnation, both devastating, angry Thrash Metal bands. Latest news about Steve is that he's finally back with a new solo album called "Anger As Art".

I've was visiting his website and heard some of the tracks. Guess what, i almost have a cardiac arrest. reason why, the songs i've heard that day were awesome, brilliant, just excellent! Pure, right-in-your-face US Speed / Thrash Metal. Steve played all of the used instruments by himself, so no other musicians on this release. I've contacted him a few days ago, one led to another and great Steve was kind and gentle enough to
sent me a package within his new solo album "Anger As Art". This is absolutely a pure form of highly recommended US Thrash Metal played with furious speed.

Containing 8 songs somewhere in the vein of Nuclear Assault, Dark Angel, Evildead, Slayer, Vio-lence,...he did a fantastic job delivers a solo album like this. I'm sure that all of you outhere 80s thrashing Metal maniacs like it alot. From the very fisrt second till the last, full speed ahead just like in the good old eighties days. Steve's voice, his bass and guitar lines are brilliant...no reason to complain at all. He did it all by himself and that makes this release double special to me. I always knew that Steve was a great musician during the eighties and be sure he still is after so many years. Some of the songs such as: "I Create Your God", "Hate In My Heart, Hell In My Head", "Anger As Art" or "Wait For The Hammer" just kills me while listening.

I'm truly fascinated by all the things he did in the past and with his new solo album it won't change a damn thing. He was and shall forever be a master of Thrash Metal. Into US, 80s influenced Thrash Metal... contact Steve at:
angrysteve@charter.net and order his solo album as fast as possible. US Thrash Metal prevails!!   MY POINTS: 95 / 100
