Now well, what we got here at the moment is something special. This is Christian US Progressive Rock / Metal containing four musicians (including Tom Denlinger from US Metal band Sardonyx) and several other guess who stepped on board to create a unique piece like this. Talking about Progressive music, many people's thoughts going straight to bands like Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Symphony X,...but with The Scream Of The Guillotine it's different.

Vocalist Tom Denlinger's voice is still in very good shape but differs from what he did at the beginning of the nineties with Sardonyx. Actually normal due to you can't compare them with TSOTG right now. Don't buy this CD for the music only cause it's more (like the title says), a theatrical production incl. both Rock / Metal elements. It's a story, sometimes with spoken words, screams or movie kinda like background effects about a man named Steven's journey through good and evil after he woke up from a dream...something unique awaits ya'll brothers and sisters! Is this the next step on the ladder of progressive music??

Guitars sounds full of emotion, played in many forms of pure technical skills. Joe Satriani / Ken Snyder / Steve Vay worshippers, check it out! Just like in a movie, the CD contains two chapters, devided in several scenes so choose your favourite one and let yourself go.The entire story is written (by Tom Denlinger) on a perfect, good looking booklet of at least more than 30 pages. Take your time and read all about it. To me, not very usual listening to an album like this but i liked it anyway. Every single part of the CD differs from the rest which make it all very unique and worth to give it a shot.
