TEARABYTE - GLOOM FACTORY

NMS MUSIC / ESCAPI
METAL TO INFINITY
Actually formed in 1998 somewhere in Los Angeles with two albums below their belts so far named "Doom Generation" (2000) and "Embrace Oblivion" (2002).Always damn great to meet a band greeting from the US ready to blow our heads of with a type of music called Bay Area Thrash Metal! I was impressed from the very first moment and their music takes me back in time where the Metal scene was different than what it is the last few years. Anyway, Tearabyte shows how to bring back the mighty forces of old school Thrash Metal with style.
Vocalist / bassist Al Mead (ex GG Allin & The Scumfucks) reminds me sometimes of Gard Kirchin (aka as 'The Piledriver' from the famous band Piledriver!) and Yuri Ward from Armoured Angel. Musically, the songs are real heavy to the core and a few bands lingers on while listening are older Cancer, Sacred Reich (Ignorance), Slaughter (Strappado), Armored Angel (Stygmartyr), Sindrome (Into The Halls Of Extermination),...Production not too polished but that's not bothering me at all, i even like it that way. All of the songs has a different character with a lot of variable elements to enjoy.
We have fast songs as well as a few mid tempo, but heavy tunes with stunning guitar riffs / solo's like we used to know back then in the glorious eighties. Check out songs like: "Shred The Misery", "Romper Stomper", "All Grey", "Insanity" and you'll know what i mean. Finally, i will recommend "The Gloom Factory" to all old school Thrash Metal maniacs who still praisng the 80s tradition with heart and soul forevermore! Tearabyte website MY POINTS: 90 /100
