THE PROWLERS - DEVIL'S BRIDGE
LOCOMOTIVE RECORDS
METAL TO INFINITY
The Prowlers is a six piece Power / Progressive Metal band based in Rome, Italy. Real activities started as soon as the right musicians were founded in 1996. Working their fingers to the bone, The Prowlers' live acts were filled with Iron Maiden cover songs but they were strong enough and loaded with the right skills to create some works made by themselves. Three years after existence, a first demo hit the roads followed by a second one only one year later.
After the release of two great MCD's, The Prowlers' debut album came out with the co-operation of Itaian Label Northwing / Steelborn Records who offered the guys a deal. That first full length was entitled "Soul Thieves", released in 2003 and the band's fanbase was growing bigger and bigger. Metal maniacs and international press saw that it was good and asked for more. No problem for The Prowlers because they kept on working for some new songs with a new album in mind. ten songs were ready and sent to Intromental Management ( www.intromental.com ) who offered the band a deal.
Finally, The Prowlers second attack "Devil's Bridge" was ready to unleash after sigining a deal with Locomotive Records. Tommy Hansen (Pretty Maids, Helloween, Beyond Twilight,...) is a real giant producer who led numerous bands straight to the top. His fine, artistic and very professional duties also will kick The Prowlers straight to the Metal top, i'm sure about that. He created a terrific sound but the band's style of music and musical skills are so damn well developped through the years, i can't imagine these Italian guys won't make it in the near future.
Musicianship alright, driving forces and the energy level pushed up the the maximum, The Prowlers earned their place on the map of great Metal bands very well! Melodic Power / Progessive Metal is their name of the game and the door is opened to walk the international pathways for sure. There is a market for this form of Metal music, even there are walking so many, numerous other bands playing the same style. I like the sound of Progressive Metal music, but only for a while. I need my dose of 80s or US Heavy / Power Metal several times a day you know...it's just like a needful medication to me!!
The Prowlers' clear, sometimes high pitched vocal lines sounds real good and the axe shreddings are scorching. Good ideas building up joyful songs are noticed and the production is wonderful. Both Euro Power and Progressive Metal maniacs, go find The Prowlers' new album right away and satisfaction is assured!
To me, great musicians / production but can't speak of a real Metal thrill. More info at: www.theprowlers.com www.intromental.com/theprowlers www.locomotiverecords.com MY POINTS: 84 / 100
