THE SONIC REVOLUTION - DYSTOPIA

INDEPENDENT
METAL TO INFINITY
Album number two in less than one year done by the Long Island based brother of The Sonic Revolution. Their first release rocks on like a hurricane with heavy guitars, great song structures, awesome vocalist,...to me such fantastic Hard Rock / Metal album i almost play that CD every day! Well, the guys are back with a second strike entitled "Dystopia" which saw the light of day only eleven moths after their first (to be correct!). Yeah, once again very impressive work! The new one sounds (as usual) real heavy and that's good to me. With a sound quality not that polished and that makes it all so Classic minded, actually the way they are. Groovy songs with a both Classic Hard Rock / Metal touch and a lot of melodic lines.
The title track sounds like crystal in my ears due to the driven force you feel right from the start. Check out the beautiful riffs at the beginning, strength in vocals and the groovy, powerloaded guitar lines. One of my favourite tracks for sure! More heavy situations can be experienced during a couple of songs like: "Amnesia", "Thank God", "Earthshine" is a song with a lot of emotion and some great breaks on board. With lyrics about aspects of life we all have to deal with in the world of today, The Sonic Revolution goes on and on in a very professional way.
Vocalist Nick Parisi's vocal lines were good and totally under control before and the point is, that guy's current way of singing is even better. Handling the rough and raw or morre clean oriented, he has absolutely no problem to fix it all! Great singer anyway surrounded by a gang of three excellent musicians including a heavy gunner, i mean superb guitar player. The song "Home" is a top-class low speed track that shows the unique, talented style of TSR, a style they've created in a few years. Zakk Wylde minded guitar freaks better take some attention too. We have eight brand new songs here plus four remixes of songs standing proud and strong on their debut album, released in 2004.
Feel free to check them out and let yourself go without thinking about anything else! Being one with your favourite style of music is for real, all the rest isn't what it seems...can you dig it?. Well, nice meeting this band and i will recommend their (two released albums so far) to all Hard Rockin' brothers and sisters with the heart on the right place. The only thing TSR deserves is a record deal, so keep on supporting these guys, spread their words in hope they can get what they deserve. You know what i mean, don't ya!?
