TOWERSOUND - TOWERSOUND
INDEPENDENT
METAL TO INFINITY
Well, you really have to listen to this people: Towersound is hailing from Auvergne in France. The band consists of three brothers. They are able to speak, write and pronounce English. And they make music which is influenced by Baroque and Symphonic Classical Music (Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart), mingled with 80's-90's Metal (Queen, Metallica, Manowar, Malmsteen).
By experience, I know that most French bands are into black and death metal, which prefer obscure recording facilities, while they are having problems with English...None of these cliches fit for Towersound. This young band started creating music around 2000, followed by a first demo recording that included 10 tracks (year 2003). Quickly, radiostations started to spin their songs, and the first interviews and gigs started to take place.
One year later, the band recorded 11 tracks for the album Towersound, followed by a record deal with Brennus Records. In 2006, the band completes "From Tears To Smiles" (rock and ballads genres) and started immediately to work on their follow up mini album "Even To Heaven", due to be released early 2007. In the meantime, the band established their live fame by winning the Rock contest of St.-Alban, participation at the Metal Bash (with Dark Age, Paragon a.o.), playing festivals like Printemps de Bourges...etc...
Towersound their album ''From Tears To Smile'' opens with a lovely intro, followed by the anthem "Towersound" and continuous with great songs, skilled riffing and complex arrangements. Nothing seems to scare these youngsters, which have a great future ahead. Every track on this album is captivating, fresh, defiant and innovative, and for those who like a ballad now and then, this is a must hear ballad: ''My Wild Rose'' Outstanding!!!
Some additional info: drummer Florian Lecomte entered drum school at the age of 5, left for a few years and re-entered at the age of 13! The three brothers range in age from 17-26 nowadays, so the best is yet to come! Keep an eye on the name, because they have potential to start a stir!
