METAL TO INFINITY

Metal To Infinity visitors definitely heard about Vanilla Rex due to the interview i did with these German guys and i also reviewed some of their previous efforts (check out the CD Review / Interviews section) . Vanilla Rex is a very energetic band started back in 1988 and is still hooked on making great Metal music. The early works of the bands had a more NWOBHM touch but changed into Progressive Metal through the years. Vanilla Rex is growing stronger through the many years of existence. Their latest release i've heard was a three song Maxi CD called "Shadows Of Insanity", which saw the light of day in October 2004.

They haven't got the opportunity to sign a major record deal so far and i hope truly they will very soon. This is a potential Progressive Metal band with several forms of musical skills below their belts. "Parallel Worlds" is their new effort, has eight songs on board and sounds very nice! It's a self produced product, made for all those maniacs who likes the world of outstanding, Progressive music. For all unfamiliar ones, Vanilla Rex' style of music is somewhere between Dream Theater, Vandenplas and Fates Warning. Unique vocals surrounded by great skilled musicians, believe me...Vanilla Rex is real good.

The new album contains two (remastered) songs coming from "Shadows Of Insanity and the track "2005 - Tears Of A Gargoyle" stands on Vanilla Rex' 2000 release "Genius Diary is fully remastered too and sounds awesome. Besides a short intro, the album consists of seven technical songs (between 6 and 9 minutes long) played with style and full of quality. If you hear Vanilla Rex, you'll be surprised due to their unique singer and the original way they brings music to the masses.

An excellent album can be yours if you are a true Progressive Metal worshipper so order fast and spread the news of Vanilla Rex around.
